We are seeking a skilled and reliable concrete repairs operative to join our team on a vital ongoing bridge repair project over the M5 motorway in Penrith. This is a high-importance, long-term scheme that involves essential concrete repairs to ensure the safety and longevity of the bridge structure. The successful candidate will play a key role in the repair and restoration work, helping to maintain vital transport infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out concrete repairs, including surface preparation, crack injections, patch repairs, and resurfacing.
- Work effectively within a team to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Follow safety procedures and work in accordance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control throughout the repair works.
- Assist in the general upkeep and cleaning of the worksite.
- Be proactive in reporting any issues or concerns to the site supervisor.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in concrete repair or similar construction work is essential.
- Experience in bridge repair or maintenance is desirable but not essential.
- A valid CSCS card is essential.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to work safely in a busy construction environment.
- Ability to work at heights and in challenging conditions, as the job will involve work on the bridge structure.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from supervisors.
