Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Permanent Role

Location - West Cumbria

An Electrical and Instrumentation Craftsperson is required to join a company based in West Cumbria. They are a large international, reputable, and firmly established company with a portfolio across several sectors, including defence, nuclear and energy.

Electrical and Instrumentation Technician Benefits:

  • Rate - £35 Per Hour (Umbrella)
  • Duration - 52 Weeks initial contract
  • Inside IR35
  • Hours - 07:00 - 15:30, 5 days a week

Electrical and Instrumentation Technician Role:

  • Repairing, maintaining, calibrating, and testing radiation protection instruments to ensure customer work demands are met.
  • Workshop - based component level repair of radiation monitors and radiometric systems to allow for free movement throughout the facility.
  • Acting as a mentor for other team members as required, including apprentices and new entrants to department.
  • An element of training will be provided on site to develop your understanding of the instruments you will be working with.

Electrical and Instrumentation Technician Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 Certification or above in a related discipline.
  • Experience with electrical/electronic instruments.
  • Will have been electrical/electronically biased in your past roles.
  • You will have worked in this industry or similar in the past and will be knowledgeable about safety requirements needing to be met daily to ensure standards and best practices are implemented on site.
