Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Engage with external stakeholders, including Local Authorities and Traffic Management Bodies.
  • Operational Support: Collaborate with contract partners to enhance operational performance.
  • Team Coordination: Align activities with internal stakeholders, including civils, design, and wayleave teams.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to Openreach Engineering Principles, NRSWA Act 1991, and safety standards.
  • Site Management: Monitor site operations to ensure compliance with permits and safety regulations.
  • Performance Auditing: Conduct inspections and audits of field operatives to uphold safety and legislative standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team, optimizing resource utilization and covering contact demand.
  • Reporting: Utilize workflow management tools to report daily site progress, defects, and issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Sign off on completed works and ensure alignment with client agreements and traffic management requirements.

What Youll Need:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar supervisory role within telecoms, particularly with the Openreach network and Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA).
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of telecom civils, NRSWA compliance, reinstatement, and SROH.
  • Supervisory Experience: Proven ability to manage both internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Certifications: NRSWA Supervisor, SmartAwards (SA001, SA002, S6, S7), and SMSTS or SSSTS accredited.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to meet work challenges and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Communication Skills: High standard of written and spoken English; excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Mobility: Full drivers license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Tech Proficiency: Experience using tablets and smartphones for work-related tasks.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of ArcGIS and experience in cabling/fibre work.
