We are an established family bakery with a taste for quality, having created delicious products for over 75 years. Our organisation produces baked goods for retail and food service, specialising in cake and sweet pastry tart products.
We supply all major UK retailers with ambient Free From ranges and a number of leading Coffee Shop Chains with ambient and frozen ranges. We operate two bakeries: A conventional Bakery and a dedicated Gluten, Wheat and Milk Free Bakery avoiding 12 out of the 14 notable allergens.

Bakery Process Technologist - The Role:
This role is the link between the development kitchen and the production line with the responsibility of helping make the smooth transition between the trials and full bakery production. In this role you will learn how to carry out concept trials and scaled up factory trials on approved new products that have been developed in the test kitchen by the NPD Concept team.
Bakery Process Technologist - Key Responsibilities:
Some of the responsibilities as a Bakery Process Technologist include:
- Conduct and document trial productions across both on-site factories, capturing essential data and insights
- Establish and document process methods for assigned projects, ensuring all recipe changes are communicated across relevant departments at each trial stage
- Verify final recipes and methods in TROPOS and on production paperwork before initial production.
- Collect and analyse data for the development of packaging, quality assurance standards (QAS), and production line benchmarks
- Supervise initial production runs for assigned projects, acting as a troubleshooter to resolve any issues with existing products
Bakery Process Technologist - Experience:
- Qualification in a food related discipline such as NPD, Bakery, Food Science desirable however not essential
- Good IT Skills, particularly with Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel
Bakery Process Technologist - Other Attributes:
- Flexible, motivated team player with a methodical approach, able to meet targets and deadlines
- Skilled at building positive relationships across all levels within the company
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English and Maths
- Hands-on approach, ensuring product quality, food safety, and compliance with specifications
- Able to work independently or as part of a team, with flexibility in hours to accommodate trial schedules
