Premier Recruitment Group are pleased to be partnering with a leading business based in Penrith, Cumbria to recruit for a forward thinking Health Safety and Environmental Supervisor. Very interesting and varied role. This is is full time and permanent position. Travel to sites required for the role. Company car.

Job Purpose:

To ensure company maintains a high standard of health and safety at work, whilst complying with all relevant health, safety, fire prevention and environmental legislation and guidelines. To work towards company being an industry leader in health and safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities:

  • To lead and promote a positive H&S culture, working towards being the industry leader
  • To ensure the business complies with current and future health and safety and environmental legislation, review H&S policy and procedures on an annual basis, communicate to and train staff in any changes
  • Review, maintain and communicate H&S Policy and Procedures
  • Reporting to and liaising with external agencies
  • Ensure safe working practices in place and communicated
  • Ensure compliance with all H&S and Environmental legislation, Fire regulations and best practice
  • Promote company in line with the staff handbook

Skills/Knowledge :

  • Knowledge and understanding of the recycling and wood products industries.
  • Knowledge of FSC standards
  • NEBOSH Diploma required
  • 5year + experience
  • Fire Safety
  • Driving Licence
  • Computer skills
  • Communication Skills
  • Customer Care
  • Professional Manner
  • Environmental Certification required
