Overview
We are looking for a maintenance Engineer in Penrith. This role involves repairing and maintaining plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in plant maintenance, a strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations, and the ability to work efficiently to minimise downtime. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established team with a competitive salary and benefits package. Working Monday to Friday with OT paid daily.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a maintenance role, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • NVQ level 3 in engineering
  • Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the capability to perform repairs on various types of machinery.
  • Experience with welding techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
