LHH is delighted to be partnered with our client, a global leader in their FMCG manufacturing field, as they seek a Plant Manager to join their organisation based in Northwest England.

Suitable applicants will have relevant experience in FMCG, Packaging, Metals, Automotive/Aeronautics Experience in FMCG, Packaging, Metals, Automotive/Aeronautics Manufacturing industries.

As the Plant Manager, you will report to the Northern European Regional Manufacturing Director. You will be responsible for managing plant KPIs, leading a skilled management team, and ensuring that safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met. The role involves ensuring the plant operates efficiently while meeting targets in safety, HR, environment, quality, production, engineering, and cost control.

The ideal candidate will foster a strong safety culture by ensuring strict adherence to policies and regulations while continuously improving safety standards. Leading, mentoring, and coaching the management team will be a critical part of your role, as well as setting clear performance expectations. The role also involves preparing budgets, monitoring costs, and addressing any variances to maintain financial health.

To excel in this position, you should have a degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, alongside leadership experience in a manufacturing plant, ideally in FMCG, packaging, metals, or automotive/aeronautics manufacturing. A strong understanding of business management principles, including budgeting and cost control, is also required.
