MONDAY TO FRIDAY - 6AM-6PM - 60 HOUR WEEK 

About the Role:Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician with a passion for working in a dynamic, hands-on environment? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our maintenance team within the forest products industry. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production equipment, helping to drive productivity and minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine mechanical maintenance and repairs on a range of machinery and equipment used in the forest products industry.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement timely solutions to prevent production delays.

  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members and operations staff to identify areas for improvement and ensure smooth operation of equipment.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance checks and maintain accurate records.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.

  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.

  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance operational performance.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

  • Familiarity with equipment used in the forest products industry (e.g., sawmills, conveyor systems) is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Health and safety awareness and a commitment to workplace safety.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
