A Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer is required to join a Building Design Consultancy in North Yorkshire or West Yorkshire or Cumbria. The company are one of the largest multi-discipline building design consultancies in the North of England. Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer Benefits:

Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer Role:
- Work as a member of the Building Services Team to deliver on a verity of projects from industrial buildings to new build homes, schools and refurbishments
- Produce Mechanical Building Services design calculations using a range of techniques ranging includiing industry standard software such as Hevacomp and IES
- Produce feasibility reports, condition surveys, design specifications and drawings suitable for all RIBA work stages
- Undertake detailed surveys on electrical building services to advise on their suitability for continued use
- Contract administration and project management
- Oversee and supervise the installation of building services systems, undertake commissioning management and specify maintenance and operating procedures
- Carry out project design and complete H&S risk assessments to meet current CDM regulation requirements
Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer Requirements:
- Degree or HNC in Building Services/ Mechanical Engineering
- Ideally working towards MCIBSE
- Good working knowledge of mechanical services
- Experience with mechanical surveys and condition survey reports
- Able to produce plans, sections and detailed drawings, specifications, schedules of works and other documents to high standards
- Experienced and confident in the preparation of decarbonisation/sustainability reports
- Experienced in supervising and monitoring mechanical installation work on site
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk AutoCAD and NBS software, Revit
- Knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
- A full UK driving license
