Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Psychologist to join our clients specialist day and residential school, which provides high-quality education and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 5-19 with complex needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and formulating bespoke therapeutic approaches, ensuring that each young person benefits from a clinically informed, nurturing environment. Working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, you'll help foster positive, clinically grounded environments and experiences that enable each student to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and deliver tailored therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.
  • Support and advise the wider care and education teams in delivering effective, clinically informed practices.
  • Act as a confident model, guide, and trainer for staff, promoting a positive and therapeutic environment across both residential and school settings.
  • Be a proactive leader who takes initiative to enhance our therapeutic services and drives positive outcomes for students.

About you:

  • HCPC-registered Clinical, Educational, Forensic, or Counselling Psychologist.
  • Proven expertise in working with children and young people with complex needs in educational or residential settings.
  • Ability to assess, formulate, and implement therapeutic plans while effectively collaborating with the team around the child to create safe, supportive environments.
  • Highly organised, confident, and committed to the wellbeing and success of each young person.
