Mental Health Support WorkerWest Cumbria | Day & Night Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | 12-Week Temp to Perm | £12.30 per hourFemale candidates only as this is indicated under occupational requirement in accordance with the Equality Act 2010

We are currently recruiting experienced Mental Health Support Workers to provide dedicated 2:1 support for an individual with complex needs, including Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and an Eating Disorder.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver holistic, person-centred care within the client’s home environment

  • Support with daily living tasks, mental health needs, and meaningful engagement activities

  • Promote independence and facilitate community participation

  • Monitor and report on both physical and mental health indicators

  • Work in line with care plans, risk assessments, and medication procedures

  • Maintain clear and accurate records, and assist in crisis situations under the guidance of a Registered Mental Health Nurse.

  • Ensure dignity, respect, and safeguarding are upheld at all times

Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven experience working in mental health care settings

  • Ideally experienced in supporting individuals with complex trauma, self-harm, Dissociative Identity Disorder, and Eating Disorders

  • Good understanding of the Mental Health Act and working within multi-disciplinary teams

  • Excellent documentation skills and a proactive, resilient attitude

  • Willingness to complete client-specific training and ongoing professional development
