Assistant Management Accountant - Falmouth / Hybrid- £30-35,000

Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively engaged by one of our longest standing clients; a precision manufacturing business operating on a global scale and considered to be one of West Cornwall’s most sought after employers. The company has tasked us with sourcing an Assistant Management Accountant to join their large, friendly and highly experienced finance function. The role is offered as a full time, permanent contract, and the company offers a 3/2 hybrid working arrangement if required.

This will be a broad and interesting opportunity for an ambitious individual who wants to enhance their skillset in a well-supported environment that embraces cutting edge digital accounting tools. Working closely alongside the senior management accounting team, the role will focus on the production of high quality management reports (weekly and monthly), budgets, forecasts and capital expenditure detail. Key responsibilities to include:

- The production of detailed management accounts to include journals, accruals and prepayments

- Profit and loss variance analysis

- Assist with internal controls and annual audit processes

- Play a key role in monthly departmental financial performance reviews and meetings

- Assist in the preparation of quarterly cashflow forecasts and annual budgets

- Capital expenditure management

- Balance sheet reconciliations

- Assist the wider finance team on a range of ongoing accounting projects and process improvements

The candidate we’re searching for: An ambitious and career focussed Assistant Accountant/Management Accountant seeking a long term career with an employer that offers almost limitless development opportunities.
