Management Accountant - Penryn / Hybrid - £40-45,000
Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have formed an exclusive recruitment partnership with a highly successful, internationally trading manufacturing business with ambitious plans for continued growth. The business has recently restructured its finance team and now seeks to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join them in a position of significant responsibility. This is a full time, permanent position, offering flexible hybrid working between home and the business headquarters in Penryn.
This will be a broad and interesting role that works as part of a highly efficient and experienced finance function. Reporting to a highly talented Finance Director and support by a small transactional team, the core focus of this role will be to produce comprehensive management reports and assist in major financial projects. Key responsibilities to include:
- Production of monthly and quarterly management accounts with accompanying commentary for the senior management team
- Provide senior finance team with key financial intelligence to assist in ongoing projects, financial analysis, cost saving initiatives, and budget/target reporting
- Commentating monthly financial reporting pack data to financial and non-financial department leaders
- Provide assistance and support for quarterly reviews and annual budgets
- Identify areas for improving financial performance of specific divisions of the business
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and overseeing subsequent reporting
- Assisting budgeting and business planning
- Assist in preparing for annual audit
This role calls for an experienced candidate, either operating in a business partnering or management accounting capacity, or as a senior Assistant Accountant looking to take a step up. Previous experience gained in a manufacturing environment will be essential. Candidates may be part/fully professionally qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA), or qualified by experience/AAT, but must possess excellent all round IT aptitude (particularly MS Excel). This is a role that regularly liaises with colleagues in all departments and communication skills a must.
