My client is actively seeking an ambitious and experienced Health and Safety professional with either an engineering or manufacturing background to join them on a permanent and full time basis. This role would be well suited to an ambitious individual who works well in a small team, and is actively seeking or already achieved formal qualifications within Health and Safety.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure Organisational Compliance to Health & Safety Regulations including: 
    • COSHH - Control of Substances Hazardous to Health.
    • RoHS - The Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment.
    • REACH - Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation & restriction of Chemicals.
    • WEEE - Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment. 
    • RIDDOR - Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulation 2013
    • PPE - Personal Protective Equipment.

     

  • Creating and maintaining Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Monitoring changes in regulations and initiating changes required to remain compliant.
  • Coordinate accident reporting and records.
  • Coordinate Fire Safety measures and records.
  • Assist with Quality System, compliance and facilities tasks as requested by your manager.
  • Monitor and regulate Internal e-learning system.
  • Undertake additional duties as requested by your manager.

 

Desirable requirements: 

  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications or be studying towards.
  • Have an understanding of general engineering and/or Quality systems.
  • An aptitude for problem solving and the ability to develop solutions. 
  • Effective communicator to all stakeholders. 
  • Excellent organisation skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
