Job Title: Commercial HVAC Refrigeration & Chiller Lead Engineer
Location: Andover
Salary: £50,000 to £54,000 per annum
Hours of Work: Mon to Fri, 8am to 5pm
Type: Permanent
Start Date: Immediately
We are hiring a Commercial HVAC Refrigeration & Chiller Lead Engineer to oversee the Repair, Servicing, Maintenance, and Build (RSM&B) of temporary refrigeration equipment and chillers at our Andover depot. This role is perfect for someone with a strong technical background who can lead a team and ensure all systems meet safety and performance standards. You will be a key player in driving efficiency and ensuring that systems are in top working order to support the needs of the business.
Duties of a Commercial HVAC Refrigeration & Chiller Lead Engineer
You will be working as part of the Customer Service and Engineering team, with responsibilities including:
· Supervising the RSM&B of Commercial Refrigeration Equipment and Chillers
· Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
· Overseeing pre-delivery servicing to guarantee optimal system performance.
· Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues efficiently.
· Occasionally providing expert advice and support on field deployments.
· Maintaining detailed records of installations, repairs, and inspections.
· Conducting safety inspections and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
· Managing tools and equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
· Leading team productivity and providing guidance to colleagues.
Skills and experience required for a Commercial HVAC Refrigeration & Chiller Lead Engineer
As a Commercial HVAC Refrigeration & Chiller Lead Engineer, you will need experience with:
· Minimum 5 years’ experience on Commercial Refrigeration Equipment and Chillers
· Has a current F-Gas certification
· HVAC installation, including engineering project planning.
· Strong communication skills and leadership abilities.
· A valid driving license is essential.
· Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations.
It would be beneficial to the role if you also had:
· A tidy work ethic.
· Familiarity with IT systems and software packages.
· Previous HVAC experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
