Job Title: Trainee Pipe Fitter

Job Description:

Our client, who are a family-owned fabrication and engineering company, currently have two openings for Trainee Pipe Fitters to join their team near Andover.

As a Trainee Pipe Fitter, you will work closely with a senior team member and learn essential skills in material preparation, assembly of screwed and bolted pipework, pressure testing, spray painting, the preparation of manufacturing packs, as well as final inspection and certification review.

Key learning areas will include:

  • Installation of threaded pipework
  • Understanding engineering assembly and fabrication drawings
  • Material preparation
  • Mechanical fit-up of welded pipework
  • Pressure testing
  • Inspection processes

Details:

  • Location: Andover
  • Duration: 13 weeks temp-to-perm
  • Training: Extensive training will be provided

Education & Experience:

  • GCSEs (Level 5 or above) in Maths & English are essential
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial but not required
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in teams and interact effectively with colleagues and managers
  • A polite and friendly attitude
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
