Key Responsibilities:

As a Prison Nurse, you will:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to inmates, ensuring their physical and mental well-being.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with prison protocols.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare teams, prison staff, and external agencies.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality.

Pay Rates:

• Weekday: £32.40 per hour
• Saturday and Nights: £35.82 per hour
• Bank Holidays and Sundays: £39.96 per hour

Requirements:

To succeed as a Prison Nurse, you must have:

• Valid NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (Adult, Mental Health, or Learning Disabilities).
• Previous experience in a custodial or secure environment.
• NOMS Clearance (essential): Candidates must have active NOMS clearance or be eligible to obtain it.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a non-judgmental approach.
