What You'll Be Doing:

  • Preventative Maintenance: Keep everything running smoothly by performing regular preventative maintenance activities on equipment.
  • Reactive Maintenance: When breakdowns happen, you'll be the go-to expert for quick, effective fixes to get production back on track.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement plans to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations Team to meet demanding production targets, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.
  • Technical Expertise: Use your skills to read and interpret drawings and manuals, and occasionally assist with electrical installations as part of ongoing projects.
  • Safety & Compliance: Work at heights, in confined spaces, and ensure all work adheres to the highest safety standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Apprenticeship in either Electrical or Mechanical discipline, with a minimum of City & Guilds / NVQ qualifications.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a fast-paced Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Engineer role, ideally in a food production or FMCG environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with equipment such as PLC controlled machines, conveyor systems, freezers, chillers, sealing machines, and more.
  • Skills & Attributes: Punctual, reliable, a strong team player, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly.

Shifts:

4 on, 4 off (days & nights).
