Vetro Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join an ALN school in Pentyrch, providing essential support to students with special educational needs, including autism. About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will collaborate with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to provide tailored educational and personal support to students. Your role will be crucial in fostering an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment, ensuring each student's individual needs are met.



The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
  • Experience (paid or voluntary) in working with children, particularly in educational or care settings
  • A strong understanding of special educational needs (SEN), including autism
  • A proactive, patient, and compassionate approach to working with students
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Willingness to learn and take part in ongoing training and development


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans to children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, both in class and in small group settings
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and supported
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to monitor student progress and contribute to their overall development
  • Offer general care and supervision, helping with daily activities, transitions, and emotional support as needed
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for each child

Schedule:

  • Day shifts: Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
