Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively re-engaged by one of our long-standing clients, a well-established and innovative services business incorporating a number of incorporated income streams. The company is experiencing a particularly busy phase of expansion and have tasked us with sourcing an experienced Management Accountant to join them as soon as possible. The role is offered as full time, interim contract with an anticipated duration of 9-12 months. The company offers a hybrid working arrangement which will allow the successful candidate to perform the role remotely for two days per week if required.

Working as part of a highly experienced and friendly finance team, the successful candidate will enjoy a diverse role that participates in many areas of the accounting lifecycle, but with a core focus in the production of management accounts. Key responsibilities to include:

- Assume a lead role in the production of monthly management accounts and associated reports with accompanying commentary

- Assist with audit and year end preparation

- Assist the CFO with technical accounting support

- Preparing cashflow forecasts

- Multiple income stream bank reconciliations

- Maintenance of fixed asset register

- Day-to-day accounting using Sage (soon to be Xero), including looking for ways to improve processes and efficiencies.

For this role we seek an experienced candidate who can hit the ground running. Applicants may be professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), although those working towards a professional qualification or with relevant vocational experience (QBE) will also be considered. The successful candidate should possess good MS Excel skills and a strong aptitude for grasping modern accounting software (Xero experience would be desirable). Whilst strong technical accounting skills are obviously a given, our client has made strong emphasis on the importance of personable and team-working qualities. The role works within a highly efficient, friendly and motivated team in a business where finance is respected and regularly consulted by colleagues in all areas of the business.
