Your Role as a Care Assistant:
- Build strong and meaningful relationships with residents, assisting them with theirActivities of Daily Living (ADLs)to promote independence, individuality, and mobility.
- Provide support with ADLs, includingpersonal care, administering medication, mealtimes, and engaging in meaningful daily activities.
- Serve as aKey Workerfor a small group of residents, maintaining close relationships with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure personalised care plans are delivered.
- Champion thedining experience, offering residents choices, assisting with meals, and ensuring their feedback is shared with the Chef Manager.
- Assist withoffice and administrative duties, including care planning and rota management.
- Actively participate in training and development to maintain up-to-date skills and confidence.
What Were Looking For:
- Positive attitude, passion, and a willingness to develop skills within the Care Assistant role.
- Previous experienceworking with frail elderly residents or those living with dementia is preferred.
- Capacity tocommunicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Reliable, accountable, and punctual, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Flexibilityto work shift patterns as required.
- NVQ in Social Care (preferred but not essential).
