I'm recruiting on behalf of a scientific manufacturing business who are looking to expand their R&D team within Embedded Software & Electronics.

They're looking for a Firmware Engineer with vast experience at the hardware/software interface who can develop C code on PIC/ARM micros. The work involves development of systems used in the security space.

ROLE: Firmware Engineer

LOCATION: Pershore

SALARY: Up to 55k

Skills required for the Firmware Engineer are:

  • Embedded C (bare-metal onto ARM/STM/PIC micros)
  • Hardware interfacing (USB / Ethernet / I2C / SPI)
  • Interfacing to sensors for light, temp, motor control

Beneficial skills are:

  • Embedded Linux
  • Graphical UI
  • Safety-critical development experience
  • Narrowband RF technology
  • Visual Studio

Whilst the majority of the work is on-site, the company offer remote working for anything that can be done remotely.
