In-Plant Ink Technician

AYG Chemical has partnered with a market-leading manufacturer inks and coatings who is seeking a dedicated In-Plant Ink Technician to represent them at a customer's site.

Responsibilities 

• Collaborate with the existing ink team, bridging the gap between the manufacturer and the customer.
• Blend and distribute inks to print presses, ensuring seamless operations.
• Efficiently manage inventory and uphold a safe working environment.
• Handle press returns pre and post-press operations
• Support printers in colour matching and minimise downtime during make-ready processes.
• Utilise Xrite software for formulation management, colour standards, and off-press operations.
• Maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in an in-plant ink technician role is preferred but can consider backgrounds in the printing industry
• Strong eye for colour with an understanding of formulation practices is a plus.
