As a Semi Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Accounts Preparation - Preparing financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and small limited companies in compliance with accounting standards
• Tax Compliance - Assisting with personal and business tax returns, including corporation tax and VAT, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions
• Bookkeeping & VAT - Supporting businesses with bookkeeping, VAT return preparation, and financial reporting
• Client Management - Building and maintaining strong client relationships, handling queries, and providing professional support
• Team Support - Assisting junior team members with training, workflow management, and development
• Advisory Work - Supporting managers and directors with specialist projects and advisory services
• Regulatory Compliance - Keeping up to date with accounting and tax regulations to ensure best practices and compliance
• Process Improvement - Identifying areas for efficiency improvements and best practice development

• Newly or part-qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent)
• Experience working in an accountancy practice, handling a mix of accounting and tax services
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts preparation, and VAT compliance
• Proficiency in accounting software, with experience using IRIS and Xero preferred
• Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and accurate work
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Time management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
• A client-focused approach, ensuring excellent service delivery

• £28,000 to £38,000 per annum
