Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to join their experienced engineering team. They specialise in manufacturing bespoke equipment, serving both British and international clients. The role requires a collaborative approach, working with the team at all levels from the order stage through to completion.

Day to day of the role:
  • Produce project schedules, monitor and update project progress, and produce monthly progress reports for the customer.
  • Coordinate projects from order placement to data dossier submission, interpreting customer design requirements from data sheets, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct occasional visits to customer sites for progress meetings.
  • Check detailed fabrication drawings using 2D AutoCAD and/or 3D E-Drawings software.
  • Assist in the production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
  • Assist in collating quality control documentation.
  • Liaise with customers, inspectors, and third-party personnel on and off-site.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualification in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with a mechanical bias.
  • Some knowledge of BIM360, E-drawings and/or AutoCAD 2D software is an advantage.
  • Motivated individual with strong communication, organisation, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Knowledge of BS EN 13814 or BS EN 1090 design codes is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience in a similar role controlling projects for the manufacture of bespoke equipment.
