We are seeking a skilled Bodyshop Prepper to join our team on a long-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the automotive bodyshop industry, preparing panels for paintwork. This role is based with a leading fleet management company in Pershore, Worcestershire, offering an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment on a range of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepping panels for paint, ensuring the surface is clean, smooth, and ready for refinishing.
- Masking panels and surrounding areas to protect non-painted surfaces during the painting process.
- Sanding down panels to remove imperfections and achieve a smooth finish.
- Priming panels to ensure proper adhesion and a flawless finish.
- Performing small filler work as required to restore panels to their original shape.
- Working closely with the team to ensure all work is completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.
- Ensuring that all health and safety procedures are adhered to in the workshop.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Bodyshop Prepper role or similar, within fleet, refurb, or accident repair sectors.
- Own tools required for the role.
- Strong knowledge of the prep process, including sanding, masking, priming, and filler work.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license (preferred).
