Your new companyHays Senior Finance are recruiting on behalf of their retained long-standing client based on the outskirts of Perth for a permanent Financial Controller to join their small, close-knit team. Salary is £65,000 - £75,000 depending on experience + extremely flexible hybrid working, 30 days annual leave & competitive pension. This is an exciting & varied position that focusses on strong financial control, process modernisation & financial planning.Your new roleReporting to the Managing Director, you will be in charge of the financial management of 3 entities within a group. You will complete quarterly management accounting including variance analysis, year-end annual statutory reporting, budgeting & forecasting & implementation & ongoing maintenance of a 3-to-5 year financial plan. You will also complete the VAT returns & liaise with various external stakeholders including auditors & tax consultants. You will have a bookkeeper reporting to you, completing all transactional accounting. You will also complete process & system modernisation & improvement.What you'll need to succeedYou will be a qualified accountant (ICAS / ACCA / CIMA etc) with strong experience in both management & financial accounting. You will have experience of preparing financial statements (FRS 102) & working knowledge of UK corporation TAX & VAT. You will be a proactive accountant with excellent communication skills and possess a process improvement mindset, particularly in the areas of financial data processing, analysis & reporting.
