We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join their growing finance team, playing an essential role in managing and overseeing our financial operations.Key Responsibilities:* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards* Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business planning and decision-making* Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions* Conduct regular bank and account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records.* Prepare and file VAT returns, payroll tax, and corporate tax reports in accordance with current legislation.* Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes, providing required documentation and explanations* Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to support company growth.* Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and implementing streamline operationsQualifications & Skills:* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is a plus* Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel* Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesWhat We Offer:* Competitive salary of £40,000 per year* A stable, fully office-based role within a collaborative and professional work environment* Opportunities for career development and skill-buildingIf you're a dedicated accountant ready to take the next step in your career, apply today!
