The Recruitment Bunker is proud to be working exclusively with the McDermott Group to support their ongoing growth. Due to expansion and the recent win of a significant contract, we are seeking Skilled Ground Workers / Machine Drivers to join their dynamic team in Scotland.
As Groundworkers / Machine Drivers you are responsible for preparing and maintaining construction sites, including excavation, drainage installation, and operating heavy machinery.

- Salary – £14.50 per hour
- Holidays: 30 days. Additional days per year of service, maximum of 5. Buy back scheme of additional 5 days

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Perform site preparation tasks, including digging and levelling
- Operate machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders
- Install drainage systems and foundations
- Maintain and inspect machinery regularly keeping paperwork up to date
- Follow site safety protocols and environmental regulations
Essential Skills
- Experience with operating heavy machinery and hold relevant qualifications i.e Dumpers / Rollers
- Knowledge of groundwork techniques and materials
- Ability to read site plans and follow instructions
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail
- Excellent time keeping and reliability
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
- Understanding of health and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Clean Full UK driving license
- CSCS Card
- Candidates required to have a valid clear Disclosure Scotland Check or must be willing to obtain one
