The Opportunity
We seek a dedicated Bridge Engineer to join BEAR Scotland’s Bridges Team, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and functionality of some of Scotland’s most iconic structures.
Key Responsibilities
As a Bridge Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Design and Management: Inspecting, investigating, and designing bridge maintenance projects.
- Project Delivery: Managing maintenance works, ensuring timely and cost-effective project completion.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Adhering to CDM regulations and environmental standards.
- Collaboration: Building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
- Progression: Developing your career through an ICE-accredited training scheme, tailored to help you achieve professional qualifications.
Your Skills and Experience
We are interested in hearing from candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
Essential:
- A degree in Civil Engineering.
- Relevant experience in bridge or structural projects.
- A working knowledge of design standards, including DMRB, MCHW, and Eurocodes.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- A valid UK driving licence.
