About the Project:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join a prestigious client-side team responsible for delivering a state-of-the-art £500 million leisure complex. This project, which includes a wide range of leisure facilities, retail spaces, and entertainment zones, is a landmark development and an exciting challenge for any project management professional.
Accommodation and travel will be covered by the client. The site is roughly 1hr outside of Perth and around 90 miles from Glasgow/Edinburgh.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery: Lead and manage the delivery of the leisure complex from design through to completion. Ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for all client-side stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Budget & Cost Control: Oversee the project budget, manage cost forecasting, and ensure financial targets are met. Ensure that any deviations from the budget are promptly identified and addressed.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans, and address any issues impacting the schedule or budget.
- Quality Control: Ensure all construction and design work adheres to the client's vision and complies with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Team Leadership: Lead a multidisciplinary team, providing guidance, support, and direction to junior project managers and other team members.
- Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular reports to senior management, ensuring they are kept informed of the project's progress and any potential issues.
- Contractor & Vendor Coordination: Manage and liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other third parties to ensure quality, performance, and compliance with agreed timelines and contractual obligations.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management,preferably within leisure, retail, or hospitality sectors.
- Qualifications: A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Must have SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid.
- Client-Side Experience: Previous experience working on the client side of a large-scale construction project, with an understanding of the client's perspective and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
