Communications planning
Support the communications manager in maintaining a clear communications calendar that helps us promote, grow and embed strategic storylines over time.
Serve as a point of contact for the wider team to liaise, input changes to our communication schedule, raise suggestions or flag any technical issues or fixes.
Create a monthly summary visual that shows the breadth and impact of comms activities from the change team to senior stakeholders.
Manage our shared inbox by directing important mail to the correct team member and deleting inbox clutter.
Content creation and publication
Plan and draft engaging written and visual communications, seek and act on feedback, and help coordinate the approval process.
Help create the slide deck for our monthly team meeting by gathering content from the wider team and our communications network into one well-formatted presentation.
Maintain our Digital microsite by updating the content and creating simple pages in SharePoint.
Create simple graphics, gifs and videos aligned with our brand guidelines.
Input approved communications into publishable email format by typesetting them in Outlook or Poppulo, adding images and supporting the send.
Events support
Help plan and execute internal events, ensuring attendees and contributors have a seamless experience.
Maintain clear planning documentation (i.e. running schedules, attendee lists and cost breakdowns)
Manage the small logistical details that ensure a successful event, such as booking meeting rooms and liaising with or gathering quotes from suppliers and venues.
Produce simple promotional communications like posters and push emails to raise awareness for our events.
Provide onsite support on event days.
Feedback and measurement
Assist in gathering colleague feedback through surveys and readership data.
Analyse communications metrics and report on engagement levels, making recommendations for improvement.
Skills and Qualifications:
Effective collaboration skills and the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
Experience of implementing a range of effective digital communication tools to achieve results (such as Intranet sites, SharePoint sites, social collaboration tools e.g. Yammer etc.).
Excellent verbal and written communications skills - particularly for content, presentations.
Excellent design skills so the communication materials have a visual impact, as well as conveying our strategic and tactical messages.
Excellent active listening skills.
Inquisitive, keen to know more and understand the reason why.
