Forestry Consultant Job in Perth, Scotland

New requirement for a Forestry Consultant to join a well-established rural consultancy, based from their office in Perth, Scotland. This is a consultative position, working with clients to advise and assist on all aspects of forestry management. Offering a salary of up to 35,000 plus 2,500 car allowance and additional benefits!

Established over a century ago, this consultancy focuses on rural property management and development, covering land management, sporting and forestry management, estate agency and utility work. Working towards the highest industry standards whilst also supporting the growth of their teams, creating a collaborative and welcoming environment to be a part of. Now with multiple offices across Scotland and the North of England, they're looking to appoint a Forester / Forestry Consultant on a full-time basis, either from their Perth, Beauly or Forfar.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to establish long-term forest plans
  • Advise on how to maximise timber returns and high-quality crop establishment
  • Management of existing woodlands and wildlife management
  • Woodland evaluation, surveys, and sales/acquisitions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • HND in Forestry/BSc Forestry or similar
  • Proven experience in forestry and forestry management (public or private sector considered)
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car
  • Experience in forestry investment, valuation or sales is desirable
  • ICF desirable.
