Anderson Knight is currently recruiting for a Head of Logistics and Operations for one of our clients based in Perth.
The Head of Logistics and Operations will oversee the entire logistics and supply chain functions, ensuring the seamless movement of goods from suppliers to customers. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and expertise in logistics, inventory management, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Oversee inventory management, warehousing, and distribution to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Lead and manage a team of logistics and operations professionals.
- Collaborate with suppliers, transport providers, and other stakeholders to optimise the supply chain.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Identify and implement new technologies and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
- Manage budgets and control operational costs to maximise profitability.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of improving logistics efficiency.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
