Our client is currently looking for a Yard Supervisor to join their team and help manage the daily operations of their busy yard. As a Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site, driving safety standards, and supporting the development of your team. You will also be a hands on 360 operator, leading by example and driving safety standards also.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage all team members working in the Recycling Yard and aggregates yard.

  • Ensure Health and Safety standards are consistently adhered to.

  • Maintain excellent site housekeeping standards.

  • Participate in training programs and deliver toolbox talks to your team.

  • Conduct daily briefing meetings to align the team on goals and tasks.

  • Develop strong relationships with other departments to ensure customer expectations are met.

  • Liaise with the workshop and managers for plant repairs and scheduled maintenance.

  • Monitor and approve incoming waste and handle non-conforming waste as needed, escalating when required.

The Person: We are looking for a proactive and experienced Supervisor, ideally with a background in the waste and resource management sector. To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 2 year's Supervisory experience.

  • Experience in managing a team in a busy operational environment.

  • Machine operation tickets (360, loading shovel).

  • The ability to work well under pressure and maintain high standards.

  • A strong commitment to health, safety, and customer service.
