Employer description:Broxden Limited is a trusted IT Support company providing services to small and medium sized businesses in Perth and the surrounding areas. 

Overview: We are looking for a passionate IT Support Technician Apprentice to add to our team.

As an IT Support Technician, you will provide essential technical support to our clients, ensuring systems run smoothly and issues are resolved promptly. This role requires a proactive approach, a passion for technology, and the ability to work independently and part of a team while managing multiple tasks.

Salary: £22,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for clients – remote and on site
  • Set up, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
  • Assist with installations, upgrades for various systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Document technical issues and solutions in a clear and organized manner.
  • Travel to client sites as needed. (Mileage allowance for travel – driving licence/own car required)

Desirable skills:

  • HND Computing or equivalent 
  • Experience in a similar role 
  • Problem-solving skills: A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team 
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills - friendly and professional
  • Organisational Skills: Accurate record keeping and time management 

Entry requirements: 

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
