Our client currently manages, maintains and improves thousands of kilometers of Scottish trunk road including bridges and structures through some of the most scenic, but challenging, parts of the country.

They currently have an exciting new vacancy of an operations supervisor to join their team within the Perth Depot, working fulltime (Apply online only), and also bein gon standy by every 3rd week.

Reporting to the South Area Operations Manager, the main purpose of this role will be to carry out supervision of a road’s maintenance team within the Perth Depot, to deliver any associated tasks relating to the maintenance team.

Main Duties will include:

  • Lead roads maintenance team activities on trunk roads in the North West of Scotland
  • Administration of records including timesheets, scheme files etc
  • Manage team Health & Safety, as well as review H & S information
  • Work to cyclic maintenance programme
  • Produce rotas for emergency and winter rotas
  • Carry out inspections of completed works
  • Be part of standby rota every 3rd week
  • Carry out site visits

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in roads maintenance
  • Must be able to work to strict deadlines
  • Must be competent in Word/Excel
  • Commercially aware
  • A fully approved UK driving licence is essential for this role
