Jenson Fisher are delighted to be working with a well-established firm of chartered accountants based in the heart of Perth, renowned for delivering professional financial services to a diverse portfolio of clients to recruit a dedicated Payroll Assistant to join their team and help maintain their excellent standards of service.As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth running of our clients' payroll operations. You’ll be part of a dynamic team, working closely with your fellow payroll colleagues to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for a range of clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for payroll to develop their career in a supportive and professional environment.Your responsibilities will include:

Processing payrolls for multiple clients across various sectors.
Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and auto-enrolment legislation.
Handling client queries regarding payslips, tax, and national insurance.
Assisting with the administration of pensions and other employee benefits.
Maintaining accurate payroll records and updating employee information.
Preparing payroll reports for internal and client use.
Daily use of accounting software including Sage, Xero and Excel (full training will be provided).
Supporting payroll managers with ad hoc administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll, ideally within an accountancy practice or a bureau environment however this is not essential as payroll experience outwith practice/bureau will also be considered.
