Home Claims Technical Consultant - Salary circa £37000

We are looking for new colleagues to join our technical claims team, working alongside our home claims teams providing technical advice, development and support.

This is a great job for someone who is politically agile, skilled communicator/conflict manager, adaptable to situations, able to challenge and positively influence others at all levels, internally and externally. If you are someone with considerable technical experience dealing with Home Property Claims, then don’t hesitate to apply for this job!

A bit about the job:

You will provide technical support to our UK wide desk/field teams as well as our first notification of loss teams. The role will involve managing claim referrals and supporting the ongoing development of our teams. You will develop standard methodology and technical guidelines ensuring service delivered is good and technical/required standards are followed. You will also work closely with our learning and development colleagues on the delivery of the capability program for internal teams through identification of opportunities to upskill, coach and improve.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Experience in handling mid-high value domestic buildings claims (£50,000+) or experience of managing mid-high value domestic home claims (5 years +).

Strong understanding of insurance principles, policy coverage issues, claims validation and fraud.

Experience in effectively managing stakeholders including customers, brokers and service providers as well as being able resolve customer complaints and efficiently troubleshoot complex issues.

Experience of completing audit activity, developing training plans including developing the best practise guidance for internal/external colleagues.

Qualifications like CILA, RICS, CII, etc or the ability to demonstrate equivalent technical experience.

Starting salary circa £37000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
