Accountant - Accountancy Practice Peterborough £30,000 - £38,000
A growing accountancy practice in Peterborough is looking for an experienced, qualified (or nearly qualified) Accountant to join it's team. You'll be managing accounts, VAT, CIS, and tax returns for a variety of clients, from local entrepreneurs to growing businesses. You'll also play a key role in supporting junior team members.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage accounts, VAT returns, CIS submissions, and tax returns.
- Work with a broad and varied client base.
- Support and mentor junior members of the team.
- Use software like QuickBooks to manage and maintain client records.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC deadlines and standards.
Personal Requirements
- AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualified (or nearly qualified).
- At least 3 years' experience in a practice environment.
- Confident working independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
- Friendly, professional, and client-focused.
