Accounts Senior Peterborough Hybrid Salary £35,000 - £45,000

Butler Rose is excited to represent an expert accountancy firm in Peterborough that is seeking a proactive and skilled Accounts Senior to join their busy team. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, offering the chance to provide efficient and cost-effective services to sole traders and SMEs, ensuring 100% client satisfaction and developing honest and close relationships with clients.

Role Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and review accounts for Sole Traders and SMEs
  • Prepare and review personal and corporation tax computations, including tax returns and tax liabilities
  • Oversee client bookkeeping
  • Oversee VAT provision
  • Management accounting
  • Financial statements
  • Payroll and pensions
  • Liaise directly with clients
  • Mentor junior staff

Personal Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within a practice environment
  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • A broad knowledge of entrepreneurial type clients and issues facing owner managed businesses and understanding their accountancy needs
  • An in depth, technical knowledge and experience of Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Well organised with a high attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • A focus on client care and retention.
  • An appetite to develop and advance your skills, keeping up with the latest technical advances.
  • High attention to detail with strong time management and organisation skills
  • Able to prioritise effectively and work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach
  • Highly personable and approachable with excellent communication skills
  • Strong technical, communication and organisational skills
