Description:

We are thrilled to be working with a respected accountancy firm in Peterborough as they look to grow their team. Our client is seeking a skilled Accounts Senior to join their ranks. In this role, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients, oversee the accurate preparation of financial statements, and provide insightful financial guidance to support key business decisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing a varied client portfolio, ensuring all financial reporting and submissions are accurate and compliant.
  • Preparing and submitting year-end accounts, Corporation Tax computations, VAT returns, and Confirmation Statements with attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with both new and existing clients, while overseeing client payroll on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Setting clear client expectations by scheduling closing meetings to finalize accounts.
  • Providing mentorship and support to junior team members, promoting a culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Leveraging your expertise in accounting software like Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks to streamline processes and enhance the client experience.
Requirements:
  • ACA/ACCA qualification or working towards.
  • Able to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Skilled in Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
  • Consistently meets deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities and a strong attention to detail.
