My client is a Top 40 firm of Chartered Accountants. As a leading firm of Chartered Accountants, they look after the accountancy, tax planning and business advisory needs of their clients (individuals, businesses and third sector organisations both in the UK and overseas).

They are seeking an experienced audit professional from a top 50 firm that’s seeking a leadership role. They are seeking an Audit Director who will play a key role in shaping the firm’s future, driving audit quality, and supporting their ambitious growth plans into a top 20 firm.

Audit Leadership:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audits, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and ISAs.• Identify opportunities to improve audit process and increase efficiency.• Provide technical leadership in addressing complex audit issues and risk areas.Client Relationships:• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic insights that extend beyond compliance.• Build and nurture long term relationships with clients, ensuring trust and satisfaction.

Team Development:

• Lead, mentor, and support the professional growth of the audit team.• Ensure efficient resource allocation for timely, high quality audit delivery.• Provide technical training and promote knowledge sharing.

Operational Excellence:

• Monitor key performance metrics such as fee growth, utilisation and recoveries.• Ensure compliance to governance and risk management standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification.• Significant experience managing audit portfolios in a professional services firm (big 4 experience is not required; top 50 firm experience is preferred).• Strong technical knowledge in UK GAAP, IFRS, ISAs.
