Audit Semi-Senior

Salary: £26,000 - £34,000

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly sought after accountancy firm, who are looking for an Audit Semi-Senior to join their growing team in Peterborough.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has begun their career in audit to join a firm that prioritises work-life balance and career progression.

What you’ll be doing:

The successful candidate will be responsible for working as part of a team to deliver statutory audit and other assurance engagements to a diverse client portfolio, which includes large corporate clients and groups with turnover of up to £500m.

  • Involvement in all aspects of statutory audit engagements, from planning through to completion, as well as the preparation and review of both group and single-entity financial statements.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Supervising, coaching, and developing new trainees.
  • Receiving dedicated support from qualified staff and managers, benefiting from ongoing professional development and structured training.

The successful candidate:

  • Be studying towards ACA/ACCA or be AAT qualified.
  • Have prior experience in an audit and accounts role, with a particular emphasis on audit.
  • Be motivated, organised, and commercially minded, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality client service.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, and the ability to produce accurate work efficiently.
  • Exhibit a professional and adaptable approach, with the confidence to establish credibility with partners and clients.
  • Be a natural team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
