We are looking for a diligent Group Accountant The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and as a part of our fantastic finance team based in Peterborough. This role is fully office based.

Description
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with standards
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement financial strategies
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Ensure all accounting practices are in line with statutory legislation and regulations
- Prepare budget forecasts and manage the allocation of funds
- Monitor the company's financial status and performance
- Provide insightful information to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
Profile
A successful Group Accountant should have:
- Professional certification (Ideally ACA, will also consider ACCA and CIMA)
- Proficiency in finance software and MS Office
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good organisational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
