A Management Accountant vacancy working with an internationally recognised manufacturing business, with head offices here in Peterborough.
Initially a 15 month contract to cover maternity, this is a varied role with opportunities to lead and support on various projects across the finance team.
Due to ongoing business growth, there is the potential for this to become a permanent position. You will be provided with an extensive handover and will work alongside an established and successful team.
As Management Accountant you will support the Finance Team to ensure the timely processing of the company’s management accounts and accurate reconciliations, analysis and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
You will work closely and collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and external service providers to ensure that all payments and reporting obligations are managed proactively and effectively in line with agreed terms.

The Role - Management Accountant:
- Completion of various balance sheet reconciliations.
- Completion of various inter-company reconciliations.
- Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger in the Company’s ERP system.
- Variance analysis of costs as reflected in the P&L.
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Assisting with the production of board reports.
- Posting journals.
- Assisting with VAT Returns.
- Assisting with the Company’s annual internal and external audits.
- Provide ad hoc support for purchase ledger and accounts assistant duties.
The Individual:
- 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within an SME manufacturing/product based environment.
- AAT qualified or working towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent.
- Experience of using Business Central would be an advantage.
- Experience of working with multiple currencies - desirable.
- Committed team player with strong communication skills.
