We are actively recruiting for a job opportunity with an established accountancy firm based in Peterborough. They are looking to hire an accountant between a Semi-Senior and Senior level. Applications are welcomed from anyone with experience from an accountancy firm and the firm can design the job to suit your experience level.

The salary is negotiable, will of course depend on experience and qualification level and is open within reason. The job can be available with hybrid working and flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake moderate to large accounts preparation assignments, including preparation of accompanying tax computations.
  • Prepare personal and partnership self-assessment tax returns.
  • Produce monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns, along with associated bookkeeping, for a range of clients.
  • Prepare annual trust and charitable settlement accounts using client monies accounts and investment schedules.
  • Work closely with a varied client base, including sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, LLPs, trusts, and smaller private charities.
  • Support both compliance and advisory work, ranging from standard quarterly and year-end reporting to ad-hoc projects.
  • Proactively resolve client queries with minimal input from seniors or managers, acting as a key point of contact for clients.
  • Review your own work and that of junior team members before submission to senior staff.
  • Provide coaching and constructive feedback to junior team members to support their development.
  • Assist with internal reporting, contributing to performance tracking and improvement across the accounts and outsourcing team.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
