Barker Ross is currently recruiting on behalf of their distribution client for a Supply Chain Officer on a permanent basis.

Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 and 1 in 3 Sunday which is paid as overtime.

Role Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to facilitate the administrative requirements across the warehouse interfacing between own systems and that of their clients. Carry out order processing, invoicing and general administrative duties. Support the Warehouse Manager with projects and drive continuous improvement and development across the department.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Act as primary contact with the storage client ensuring effective communication and service delivery
Liaise with customers around queries that may effect the smooth operation of the warehouse and support with a 'can do' attitude
Liaise with the transport department on orders that require processing through the warehouse.
Process any orders coming coming through on QUANTIV for the client, ensuring the appropriate paperwork is handed to the Warehouse Team Leader in order for them to assemble and load the orders on the appropriate vehicle
Liaise with the transport department around the around stock trailers and advise the warehouse team on what needs to be unloaded and when
Support the warehouse team by liaising with transport on returns/rejections coming back to the warehouse so stock management can be maintained
Support the warehouse team with weekly stock takes ensuring all relevant paperwork is provided and produced to support with a clean process
Support the Warehouse Manager with investigations into deviations against process or customer SLA's. Provide data and evidence to support with this
Processing of weekly invoices for storage charges to customers. Ensure data us accurate and invoices raised in a timely manner
Report and maintain weekly warehouse KPI's
Ensure that paper records and other backed-up information is filed accurately when required unless otherwise archived electronically to enable easy retrieval when required

Experience required:
Previous Supply Chain and Warehouse Administration experience
Microsoft Software experience and managing databases
Can do and flexible attitude
Excellent problem solver
