TeamJobs is looking for a Development & Research Engine Test Technician to join our Global Engine Development (GED) team at Peterborough facility. This is a unique opportunity to work on real-world engine testing that supports over 5,000 applications worldwide - from marine to electric generators!
What You'll Do
Install, connect, and test engines in high-tech test cells.
Work closely with engineers to support engine test programs.
Diagnose faults on engines and test equipment.
Contribute to continuous improvement and training initiatives.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment aligned with Caterpillar's 5S and TPM standards.

What We're Looking For
Mechanical diagnostic or engine testing experience.
A background in motor mechanics or engineering (apprenticeship ideal).
Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Team player with a passion for learning and technical excellence.
Comfortable working shifts and hands-on in a lab/testing environment.
Not Essential, But Nice to Have:
Engineering or motor mechanics qualification.
Experience in automotive maintenance or engine testing environments.
