Quest Employment is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join theLaboratory Departmentas aCompliance Technicianwith our client in Fengate, Peterborough. Operating within a fast-growingFood Manufacturing Industry, our client is a leading supplier of value-added dairy-based ingredients to some of the worlds most recognisable food brands. With a state-of-the-art BRC AA Grade factory, they are dedicated to delivering excellence in ambient, chilled, and frozen food solutions.

  • Competitive Pay: £12.17/hour for the first 42.5 hours.
    • Overtime: Time and a half for hours beyond 42.5 weekly.
    • Enhanced Pay: Double time for extra days worked outside your rota and £2/hour shift allowance for night shifts (10 PM6 AM) upon completing 42.5 hours weekly.

Working Hours

  • Weekly Hours: 42.5-hour week across any 5 out of 7 days, including mandatory Sunday shifts.
  • Shift Patterns:
    • Early: 5 AM1:30 PM
    • Middle: 8 AM4:30 PM
    • Late: 1:30 PM10 PM (or later if required).
    • Flexibility for reasonable overtime is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing daily paperwork and collating lab results.
  • Authorising production releases or holds.
  • Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
  • Tracking and reporting microbiological trends and QM results.
  • Following up on non-conformities from audits (internal/external).
  • Conducting internal audits and documenting findings.
  • Completing/reviewing assessments and investigations.
  • Supporting staff training and operator development.
  • Assisting in validations and customer certifications of analysis.
  • Participating in improvement initiatives and special projects.
